Return of an Inspirational 'Old Girl'
Twenty-one elected leaders were formally inducted into their new roles on Friday 6 October. The students received their badge of office from an ‘old girl’, Sarah Kalus, who completed Year 12 in 2002 with a perfect IB score. Sarah is currently studying medicine at the University of Melbourne.

Battle of the Brains
Science Olympiad documentary (15 June), on the ABC which featured Lauriston's Heli Simpson.

'Battle of the Brains' told the inside story of the world's toughest teen biology competition. The four-part documentary followed the journey of 24 of Australia’s brightest high school biology students, as they battled for just four spots to represent their country at the International Biology Olympiad in Beijing.
