Our vision - to be a leader in girls' education, enhanced by the implementation of this three year plan...
Dear parents
The development of Lauriston’s Strategic Plan for 2007-2010 builds on the strong mission, vision and values which are the foundation of this great school.
The Plan establishes a framework to ensure that Lauriston maintains and strengthens its position as a leader in girls’ education. The Plan was developed after extensive consultation with a wide range of stakeholders that included parents, staff and Council members.
This Plan speaks to every staff member, student, parent and member of our wider community. When launched to staff earlier this week the response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Over the next few weeks the Plan will be presented to Howqua staff and the students. I will be hosting a series of lunches to enable staff to further discuss the strategies outlined in the Plan and share in discussions about future directions for the School.
Since the publication of the Plan, Elspeth Arnold has assumed the position of Chairman of the School Council. Elspeth is a current parent and is a Partner with Blake Dawson Waldron: her expertise and areas of practice are focused on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital and other equity raisings, private equity and corporate governance. Elspeth currently acts for a number of major listed and non-listed companies, including companies involved in financial services, manufacturing and distribution.
I look forward to working with the extended Lauriston community as we implement this very exciting vision for the future.
