Achievement at Lauriston is celebrated in a number of ways. From reaching a personal best to presenting at assembly for the first time to completing the final hike at Howqua, all success – group or individual – is celebrated. Each year we also look forward to celebrating the final results of our graduating class. Receiving these results mark the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for our girls; the whole community joins together to celebrate the hard work demonstrated by our students and our teachers.

We’re incredibly proud of our 2020 cohort. Our students have supported one another and have learned how open communication and strong relationships with each other, and their teachers is integral to everyone’s success. This is a great life lesson from their time here at Lauriston.

With more than half of our students ranking in the top 10% of the state, our girls should feel proud that they have shown remarkable resilience and commitment to their education, particularly given the challenging 2020 learning environment.

In addition:

  • 84% ranked in top 20% of state with an ATAR of 80 and above
  • 36% ranked in top 5% of state with an ATAR of 95 and above

Our VCE Dux, Claire Lin, was in the top 1% of the state with an ATAR of 99.8 and has been invited to an interview for Medicine at Monash University. Felicity Hu is our IB Dux with an ATAR of 99.95.  Another student, Bridget Clarke achieved perfect study score of 50 in VCE English.

For reference an ATAR is the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank and is used for university entrance.
