Lauriston Girls’ School students make their mark
Lauriston Girls' School students are actively involved in their learning. From the first steps of their education journey until their graduation, they are active participants in the classroom and larger School - encouraged to ask questions, to get involved and to make a difference.
Learning at Lauriston is not one-way and every day our students contribute. Participation extends beyond the classroom to leadership groups, advocacy clubs and sporting teams.
One of our most important school values is 'Engagement in Life' and all Lauriston students embrace this both inside and outside the classroom. It’s what teaches our students life balance - an important skill that serves them both in their final years of study and later in life.
The student body is ably led by our Year 12 leaders, elected in Term 3 of their Year 11 and serving for a period of one year (their term concluding at the completion of their Year 12 Term 3). These leaders work across the School in collaboration with the Staff and wider school community, advocating for students and working to help promote community.
