Deputy Principal - Wellbeing/Head of Senior School
(Full-time, permanent)

The Deputy Principal - Wellbeing/Head of Senior School is a member of the School Executive. The Deputy Principal - Wellbeing/Head of Senior School leads and manages the activities of the students and teachers in alignment with the School Vision, Values and Mission. There is an expectation that the Deputy Principal-Wellbeing/Head of Senior School will understand the whole school philosophy of Lauriston and will collaborate with the Deputy Principal - Learning and Innovation, Vice Principal - Head of Junior School and Vice Principal - Howqua campus in school-wide initiatives, programs and activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • As Deputy Principal- Wellbeing/Head of Senior School engage, support and inspire the Senior School staff to deliver the School’s strategic vision;
  • Collaborate with key staff in the operations of the Senior School; At the Executive level, the Deputy Principal - Wellbeing/Head of Senior School will work with the School’s Executive management group to deliver the desired outcomes outlined in the K -12 strategic plan;
  • Represent the interests of the employer as a member of the School Executive;
  • Advocate for the School within the wider community.

Kindergarten Co-educator
(Full-time, ongoing)

The Kindergarten Co-educator works closely with, and under the supervision of, qualified Kindergarten Teachers and the Director of Kindergarten, to provide support in the implementation of the early learning program based on the Reggio Emilia principles. The Kindergarten Co-educator will interact with children, and parents, provide general administrative assistance to the Director of Kindergarten, undertake general housekeeping tasks within the Kindergarten area and contribute to the wellbeing of the children and to the effective operation of the Kindergarten.

Teacher of Biology/General science
(Full-time, ongoing)

All teachers at Lauriston accept that they are committed to a philosophy where the learning and wellbeing of the students under their care is their primary responsibility. All teachers are responsible for creating a teaching atmosphere and a learning environment that provides trust, solidarity and joy. Students are guided towards developing a value system, which will lead them to become compassionate, thoughtful and successful members of their community.

Individual Differences Teacher (Prep - Year 2)
(Ongoing, 0.8 FTE negotiable)

The Individual Differences Teacher works closely with the Director of Kindergarten, Teaching Mentors, the School Psychologists and teachers to identify the individual learning needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 2. This includes students with learning difficulties and able students who benefit from extension programs. The Individual Differences Teacher works with classroom teachers in the development of individual programs and in supporting the learning of students both in the classroom and in small groups as needed.
