The turf has been laid on the playing field, the first of our multipurpose courts is finished, and the Early Learning Village is ready to welcome our youngest children.

Our 3-year-old Kindergarten and long daycare children will make the big move to their new home in the Kindergarten and ELC Village in Term 3. The village includes a range of different play spaces for the children to enjoy, including separate sand and mud pits, a wooden fort and a number of raised vegetable and garden beds and walls where children can practise jumping and balancing.

The children will be based in the Early Learning Village while the next stages of the building project take place. This involves unifying the Junior School and building a world-class Sports, Health and Wellbeing Precinct.

The existing gymnasium will be repurposed to create a Year 5/6 Centre, which will feature two levels with high ceilings, natural light and generously sized classrooms and common spaces where girls can come together, as well as quiet areas where students can read or reflect on their learning. This centre will be linked to Montrose via two purpose-built Prep classrooms with access to a dedicated outdoor play area.

At Lauriston we recognise the crucial role sport plays in the social, emotional and academic development of our students. Our Sports, Health and Wellbeing Precinct will feature: a new gymnasium, including two multi-purpose courts; spaces for activities such as yoga, Pilates, meditation, rowing, cycling and weight training; four adjoining outdoor courts and cricket nets; new changeroom facilities; a new learn-to-swim pool and refurbishment of the existing swimming pool.

The final stage of the building project will see a new Early Learning Centre created at our Blairholme campus.
