We are delighted that you are considering a Lauriston education for your child.

Lauriston promises to deliver every student an education for life that goes beyond the grades and beyond the class. At the heart of what we do is offer an education that prepares our girls for life.

We often talk about our alumnae and student cohort who are changing the world. Making things happen. Defining their own destiny, on their terms. This is a direct result of having been given opportunities at Lauriston Girls' School to develop confidence in their thinking, leadership qualities and ability to contribute.

Our online application form enables families to apply for any year level in any calendar year.

Before you commence an application, you will need the following information handy:

  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate
  • A copy of the student’s VISA if they are not an Australian Citizen
  • A copy of any court orders or parenting plans if applicable

A non-refundable fee of $100 will be charged per application for local students, payable via credit card.

When is the best time to apply?

We are happy to receive an Application from the time you receive your child’s Birth Certificate

We recommend families complete their Application as soon as possible to provide their child with the best opportunity for placement into their preferred year.

When we begin the enrolment process, we contact families based upon the date we received their child’s application and by priority order. Priorities are given to children with a sibling attending the School or who have had a parent or grandparent attend the School.

Which year level should I apply for?

We encourage you to apply for the earliest year level you may consider for your child.

If we contact you and you are not ready for your child to start at Lauriston, we can easily defer the application to a later year level.  Your child’s application will sit on your preferred list based upon the date we originally received the application.

What are your main entry year levels?

Our main points of entry are:

  • 3 Year Old Kindergarten
  • 4 Year Old Kindergarten
  • Prep
  • Year 5
  • Year 7
  • Year 10

Students are admitted into other year levels subject to availability.  Please feel free to contact the Admissions Office to discuss options for your child’s application.

When does the enrolment process start?

For entry into Kindergarten and Prep, we begin the enrolment process up to 2 years prior to entry.

For entry into Year 5 or Year 7, we begin the enrolment process up to 3 years prior to entry.

For all other year levels, we begin the enrolment process up to 12 months prior to entry.
