It's Her Turn

Phase 1

Construction of:

  • a Sports, Health and Wellbeing precinct with new gymnasium and external courts
  • a unified Junior School with engaging learning spaces and a large outdoor play area
  • an Early Learning Centre providing a seamless transition from childcare to three- and four-year-old Kindergarten.

Phase 2

The regeneration of our Music and Performing Arts space, which will include the enhancement of the Irving Hall and new learning spaces for Music and Performing Arts.

Phase 3

The construction of an Inter-disciplinary Learning Commons with spaces for Visual Arts, Science and Digital Technologies.

These facilities will support our School’s vision to offer:

  • an innovative whole-of-school sports and wellbeing program, so that from the early years our girls will develop the mental, physical, emotional and social skills to flourish and adapt
  • a Junior school, which provides a seamless and all-encompassing educational journey from ELC to Year 6  with purpose-built learning environments fostering the education, growth and foundation skills of younger students.

Support for the Campaign

A huge thank you to all of our donors who believed in our vision and helped us raise over $3.3million in support of this campaign.

In 2021, Lauriston’s 120th year, the Ullmer Family Foundation demonstrated its commitment to girls’ education by making one of the largest gifts the School has ever received. This remarkable gift, in support of the new Sports, Health and Wellbeing Centre, will help deliver these vital facilities which will benefit Lauriston students and the broader community for generations to come.

It’s Her Turn is supported by the Lauriston Foundation Board, and a Campaign Committee of Old Lauristonians and current and past parents, who bring to the table their expertise in areas of sport, grant making and donor relations, as well as their individual Lauriston insights and professional experience from the corporate sector and other not-for-profit boards/associations.

Campaign Committee Members:

  • Julia Rockman (Ringrose, 1986) – Co-Chair

  • Elli Walker (Reason, 1988) – Co-Chair

  • Georgie Bruce (also member of the Lauriston Foundation Board)

  • Tom O’Brien (also member of the Lauriston Foundation Board)

  • Anna Wilson (Murray, 1990)
