Our Class of 2025 have made long lasting friendships, developed skills of collaboration and teamwork, learnt how to fail well and how to succeed, and honed their leadership skills.

Preliminary Combined Results
Lauriston recognises the rigorous process that the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC), the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization (IBO) undertake to deliver our students’ results.
We’re delighted to share the preliminary combined VCE and IB results – with some results still being finalised, these results are subject to change.
We’re incredibly proud of the cohort’s combined media ATAR of 89.83, and that 50% of the cohort received an ATAR of 90+!

With 50% of our students achieving an ATAR over 90, and 8% achieving an ATAR over 99, our preliminary combined results are an outstanding result, where each Lauriston student was supported and encouraged along their individual pathway through a diverse set of subjects enabling them to pursue subjects that they are interested in. This is reflected in the range of tertiary studies our Lauriston girls are pursuing, ranging from STEM, Law and Commerce to the Creative Arts.

VCE Results

With 37% of our students achieving an ATAR over 90, and 4% achieving an ATAR over 99, our VCE results highlight the strength and breadth of our academic program, our unwavering support for each student’s individual journey, the expertise of our teachers, and the dedication and camaraderie of our girls.
Exceptional scores were achieved across the VCE Year 12 cohort with a median ATAR of 87.20.
Four students scored perfect study scores of 50.
Chuyuan (Jing Jing) Qiao
Dux of VCE | ATAR 99.65
Jing Jing is an independent and resilient young person who has made an outstanding contribution to Lauriston Girls’ School, bringing into the classroom an enquiring mind and a desire to master complex concepts.
In addition to receiving academic distinctions for Art Making and Exhibiting, English, Physics and Specialist Mathematics, Jing Jing was elected Visual Arts Co-Captain, a role which she has completed with enthusiasm.
Her involvement in Music has been extensive, participating in several ensembles and bands – she is an exceptional performer of the guzheng, and it has been a pleasure watching her performances.

Lucy Gough

With a genuine desire to learn, Lucy embraces the challenges of her studies and aims to extend herself in all assessment tasks, regularly asking insightful questions and seek feedback from her teachers.
Lucy’s valuable contribution to Lauriston cannot be understated: whether it is her willingness to support her peers as a peer support leader or her level of ease participating in multiple ensembles, productions, football teams or House programs.
It has been a pleasure to observe Lucy as she has moved through secondary school. Her energy and charisma draw you to her and Lucy’s intelligence shines through in every encounter. Lucy is excited to pursue Commerce studies in Melbourne next year.

Ka Kwan (Grace) Hu

Grace is an engaged and diligent learner, bringing to the classroom a determination and commitment to improving her understanding of every subject.
Her commitment to Lauriston was across many co-curricular activities, including the philosophy and amnesty clubs, as peer support leader, a long-term member of several choirs and representing Lauriston in Badminton and Table Tennis. Grace looks forward to studying medicine next year.

IB Results
Lauriston is committed to offering the International Baccalaureate as an alternative program to the VCE, and it has been running at Lauriston for over 30 years. We commend the IB cohort on their tireless effort and support of one another, achieving outstanding results.
“Through embracing the Diploma program, our Class of 2025, have demonstrated not only their curiosity of learning, but also their willingness to participate broadly in our school’s co-curricular program and leadership opportunities. With 81% of our students achieving an ATAR equivalent over 90, and 16% achieving an ATAR equivalent over 99, these outstanding IB results highlight the commitment and organisation demonstrated by our students, and the support they have provided each other and received from our expert educators.

Zoe Knight
Dux of IB | ATAR 99.70
We congratulate Zoe on her outstanding result as the 2025 Dux of IB! As the 2025 Queen’s Cup recipient for outstanding service to the School, Zoe has made the most of every Lauriston opportunity, performing at high levels across music, sport, debating, community service and peer support, in addition to academic distinctions across several subjects.
In particular, Zoe’s dedication to music goes well beyond being Music Co-Captain and her talent across several instruments – it is her passion for mentoring and supporting younger students on their journey. Year 8 student Leisel said, “In Brass Ensemble, Zoe has helped me as well as all the other younger students to develop confidence in our playing and to appreciate the different types of music and instruments.”

Annabel Wu

As Co-Captain of the School, Annabel exemplifies a well-rounded, enthusiastic Lauriston student. A natural leader, Annabel is known for her peer support, regularly energising her year level and encouraging participation from all.
Her broad co-curricular interests which include music, sport, debating and House activities, has been balanced with her desire to achieve excellence in her academic studies.

Lili (Lily) Xu

A Co-International Captain in 2025, Lili has made the most of the opportunities provided to her at Lauriston.
A conscientious student who strives to do her best in her academic studies, Lili has been an enthusiastic leader and a broad contributor to our Music program.

Yue (May) You

May’s dedication to engaging with all that Lauriston has to offer extends well beyond the classroom, participating in several clubs including AI, philosophy and greenies; in addition to her commitment to several ensembles and choirs, and being Soccer Captain.
Her Valedictory awards across Chinese, English and Biology in addition to the LPA Award for Theory of Knowledge demonstrate May’s enquiring mind and willingness to challenge herself across a wide array of pursuits.
